Soon out the door I go
It’s my lucky day!
What a nice human houseI’m not alone – another cat
Who teaches me this and that
But not to catch a mouse
To Abbott, I bid goodbye
And then Samantha came
What a younger feline dame
I ruled with a collective sigh
Senior cat of the habitat
All these years of sharing
The lap and love of caring
From ‘mamma’ [human] cat
Today I celebrate because I’m 20 years old
